Richard Kyle, MD

Bio

Dr. Kyle is Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Medical Director of the Biomechanics Laboratory, and Director of the Trauma/Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center and also is affiliated with Hennepin Faculty Associates. Dr. Kyle is also a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. He completed his fellowship in Biomechanics at Hospital for Special Surgery in 1978. Dr. Kyle holds 9 patents and has been on the editorial board for numerous journals. He has a long history of mentoring and training residents and orthopaedic surgeons. Dr. Kyle was president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2006-2007 and has held many leadership positions in other professional organizations.
