Bio

Dr Ward is a board-certified surgeon specializing in orthopaedic oncology and adult reconstructive surgery. He currently serves as Medical Director of Adult Reconstruction at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, which encompasses both total joint replacements and orthopaedic oncology. He is a full professor of orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest University. He is renowned for his research, which focuses on artificial joints for cancer, arthritis and trauma patients, prosthetics, and tissue matching as it relates to massive bone allografts. Dr Ward is also a renowned educator having made hundreds of podium presentations internationally, domestically, regionally and locally on topics related to orthopaedic oncology.  He has been extensively published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. He has been recognized as a Best Doctor by national physician rating organizations.
