Bio

A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Bresch’s areas of expertise include knee reconstruction, sports medicine and arthroscopy. During his fellowship he worked with a number of college and professional sports teams including the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Rams, Loyola Marymount and the University of Southern California Athletic Departments. In his residency he worked with the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls. Currently he is a consultant to various professional organizations and players. Dr. Bresch also serves as the medical director for the athletic program at Maine West High School and does consulting for various other high school athletic programs.  
 
In addition to his private practice, he served as a clinical instructor at Northwestern University Medical School’s Department of Orthopaedics and at the University of Chicago Department of Orthopaedics for over ten years. Dr. Bresch is a Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery Center as well as serving as Medical Director of Global Med Choices. He also is the Director of Sports Medicine of the Department of Orthopedics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.   
 
Dr. Bresch has also channeled his experience and expertise into enhancing the practice of orthopaedics by working to improve its technology and tools. Currently, he is developing a new arthroscopic meniscal system. He has patents, and patents pending, for various other medical devices and instrumentation along with developing procedures and instrumentation for the reduction of hazardous exposure to surgeons.
